Why Enlighten & Lead Was Created...
Enlighten & Lead was created through a combination of professional insight and a deep personal experience. For many years, I worked in learning & development & HR — supporting people through team challenges, communication struggles, confidence dips, and organisational change. But everything shifted when I became a breast cancer survivor. That experience changed my priorities, my perspective, and my understanding of what truly matters — both at work and at home.
What did it teach me?
After cancer, I knew I wanted to support people in a more meaningful, human way — one that acknowledges the full picture of their lives.
It taught me:
- how fragile confidence can feel
- how important emotional safety truly is
- how much we carry silently into the workplace
- how vital compassion and understanding are
- how real-life challenges impact performance, relationships, and identity
- and how desperately people need support that is human, not corporate
Where leadership meets humanity
I am also trained in menopause and hormone awareness, adding a powerful new layer to my work. I’ve seen how significantly hormonal changes can affect confidence, communication, identity, relationships, and workplace performance — and how often these experiences are misunderstood or unsupported.
And so, Enlighten & Lead was born: a space where leadership meets humanity, and people feel understood, supported, and empowered.
